The Friends of The King's Head were the Committee that originally established the Community Benefit Society 'Hadstock Community Pub Ltd' and who are now concerned with fundraising and social events to help keep the community of previous King's Head users together until the pub reopens.

The King's Head Hadstock

The King's Head Hadstock

A Grade II listed timber-frame village pub, the King's Head is in a picturesque setting within the village of Hadstock on the Essex / Cambridgeshire border. It has a single bar with lounge, dining, snug and 'public' areas with a wealth of beams, timbers and 7 brick fireplaces. There is a trade garden with a patio and a car park.

Sadly, whilst attempting to sell, the owners closed and boarded up our pub on 31st Jan 2016, although the pub was trading profitably.

Pub Now Sold

In August 2016 the pub was eventually sold to another party and we are awaiting completion of repairs, renovations, etc. We hope that it won't be too long before the pub reopens. The main site Hadstock Community Pub Ltd will update with any relevant information that may arise in the future.

This site will continue as our fund-raising and social events site.
